Three years ago, we had 3 Ash trees removed on our property. Each of them had signs of being infested with Emerald Ash Borer.

The obvious signs are a “stripping” of the bark caused by Woodpeckers stripping at the bark to feed on the larva of the insect. I knew what the damaged looked like because several years ago I participated in a class to identify a tiny stingless parasitic wasp that lays its eggs inside the EAB larva.
